Thank You to Our Community. Our 54th Annual MLK Tribute was a powerful success because of you, our sponsors, volunteers, board, and staff. This year’s theme, Justice in Action: Investing in People, Purpose, and Progress, wasn’t just a message. It was lived, shared, and carried forward by a community committed to real impact. While we take a moment to reflect with gratitude, we also recognize that the work continues. Justice requires consistency, courage, and care beyond one moment or one event. We are thankful to be moving forward together.

Our MLK Tribute concluded with the annual MLK Day parade through Downtown Charleston, bringing together community members, organizations, and families to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade, held on Monday, January 19, 2026 kicked off at 10:00 AM. VIP Reception at IOPThe VIP Reception at Isle of Palms was held at Wild Dunes and welcomed sponsors and donors to an intimate evening of connection and appreciation. Guests enjoyed light hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and music while celebrating their support of the MLK Tribute and honoring the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The reception took place on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Wild Dunes, located at 5757 Palm Blvd, Isle of Palms, SC. YOUTH OPEN MIC NIGHTThe Youth Talent Challenge brought young creators together for an inspiring evening of performance, creativity, and celebration. Held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Fox Music House in North Charleston, the event showcased talented participants ages 16 to 25 as they sang, danced, performed spoken word, and shared other unique artistic expressions. With registration required for eligibility, participants competed for cash prizes while honoring Dr. King’s legacy through their voices and talents.

The MLK Business and Professional Breakfast Summit took place at the Charleston Gaillard Center on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 7:00AM and brought together more than 650 attendees, including new and longtime sponsors, for a powerful gathering focused on connection, leadership, and collective impact. The energy in the room reflected a shared commitment to advancing opportunity and strengthening our community through purpose-driven work.

The service took place on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Charity Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston and featured a powerful message from Marlon E. Kimpson. Open to the public, this gathering welcomed all to honor Dr. King’s legacy and reflect on a shared call to faith, justice, and community.
