WE'RE ELIMINATING RACISM
with our Racial Equity & Inclusion training
This year our annual MLK Racial Equity & Inclusion workshop will take place from 9 AM to 12:30 PM Friday, March 22, at the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. This special three-hour MLK executive session will help leaders confront hard data showing that our nation’s systems and outcomes emanate from the racial hierarchy on which the US was built. Starting from there, we begin to unlock transformative change.
Our facilitators will again be from the Racial Equity Institute, nationally renowned for helping communities address institutional racism. The time, date, and location information will be announced soon! NEW IN 2023!
Our REI trainings now come with two post-events: a Racial Healing Circle and the REI Debrief, where together we'll discuss next steps for participants, one to two weeks after the workshops. We are also offering REI trainings tailored to organizations; please contact our director of programs, CJ Gathers, for more information. IMPORTANT NOTES GROUPS | Discounts are available to organizations with 10 + attendees in a given (the same) session. For more information, contact our director of programs, CJ Gathers. CONFIRMATION | After registering, you'll receive a confirmation via email. If you do not see it after five minutes, please check your junk mail folder. Sometimes these can get caught by spam filters. Thank you! VIRTUAL SESSIONS (WHEN APPLICABLE) | Participants who are attending our REI workshops virtually must have a computer with video and audio capabilities and be prepared to engage and be present the full two days. This is not a drop-in-and-out workshop, as leaving or joining the training late can be disruptive to the flow and sharing of information. PRIVACY | We strongly value your privacy and will share your information only with the Racial Equity Institute, our data team, and our own core team. |
